2. Engineering & Quality Capabilities

When your project calls for customized additions to the Options Collection fixtures and accessories, our in-house engineering staff works closely with you to develop the perfect solution to suit your retail needs. We will discuss your custom requirements with you to whatever detail level necessary, then go to work immediately to develop a solution. Rapid prototyping is available to get custom concepts to decision makers as fast as possible.

We know our fixtures will be the perfect fit for any retail environment. That's because Opto engineers design each component of the Options Collection to work flawlessly with legacy components. We design our fixtures and accessories to be completely flexible, user-friendly, and manufactured at the highest quality.

Our metal components are fabricated to strict specifications and then put through a rigorous inspection process — all before finishing to your specification. This way there are no unexpected surprises when our fixtures are delivered.

State and Local Regulation Technical Detailing
Opto's experienced engineering team can provide details and specifications required by municipal or state governments for retail construction, allowing retailers and fixture specifiers to move rapidly with their projects.

3. Manufacturing & Production Capabilities

You can have confidence when you order fixtures from Opto. The Options Collection is designed and manufactured in the United States, ensuring quality fixtures produced to the highest standards. Our computer-controlled workflow systems and experienced staff keep you up-to-date with order progress and expected completion dates. Domestic manufacturing means short lead times and fast delivery of beautiful, high-quality fixtures finished to order from inventory.

Opto International, Inc. (our domestic manufacturing facility) is located in Wheeling, IL, and Opto International, Ltd. (our sister company) is located in the United Kingdom. We have in-house manufacturing capabilities operating out of 70,000 square feet. We maintain a significant inventory of all components comprised in our modular store fixture systems. All raw materials, along with unfinished pre-designed components and accessories, are made available "Just-in-Time," (JIT) and are stored for immediate pulling, allowing finish customization on a per-project basis. Our in-house capabilities include wood and aluminum shops as well as in-house welding of steel parts ready for local subcontract state of the art powdercoat finishing prior to final assembly. All parts are produced from strict proprietary tooling, patent protected by Opto, at the highest standards employing CAD design and CNC technology.

This manufacturing model enables us to be flexible and satisfy our clients' needs. We further enhance in-house manufacturing by the employment of numerous specialty subcontract manufacturers. We have long-term, collaborative alliances in place with key suppliers to recognize the benefits of strategic sourcing. Supplier relationship management is critical to meet the general goal of ensuring profitability while satisfying the end needs of our customers. We retain full-control of all manufacturing by ensuring that all sub-contractors are situated within a 50-mile radius from our facility. We own all specialists' tooling required to produce all our pre-designed modular fixtures and accessories, many of which are protected by intellectual property rights.

We are committed to domestic manufacturing, both in-house and local sub-contract, to ensure total quality, repeatability, dependability, and availability for quick shipment, on-time delivery and total customer satisfaction.
