Located on Chicago’s iconic Michigan Avenue, Bye Bye Chicago offers an energetic celebration of the city through gifts, souvenirs, and merchandise representing every major Chicago sports team. To help bring the store’s bold retail experience to life, OPTO International partnered with Chipman Design Architecture to provide a dynamic mix of standard and custom feature fixtures.
The space combines products from OPTO’s Edge, Reveal, and Classic collections, creating a flexible merchandising system that accommodates versatile freestanding merchandising opportunities throughout the space. Wall-Mounted and free-standing shadowboxes were adapted with linear lighting, to create illuminated feature moments throughout the store.
OPTO also developed several custom fixtures tailored to Bye Bye Chicago’s merchandise assortment and visual identity. These include custom reveal laminate bins, a custom spinner, a tiered plush tower, and custom mannequin platforms.
Together, the standard and custom fixtures create a layered, engaging retail environment suited to the variety, personality, and unmistakable hometown spirit of Bye Bye Chicago.
